I have been on the pill for 7 months. I missed three pills and did not take them. Am I pregnant?

I had unprotected sex the first night I missed my pill. The other two nights I didn't. I then started bleeding today.. Like a really heavy period even though I got my period two weeks ago. This will be the start of my second week on my new pack. I'm not going to be upset if i'm pregnant I just want to know my chances. If there are any since I already started bleeding. Or is that just what the call a "pill period" Please someone tell me soon.. I want to know before my boyfriend goes to college and we plan our life out.

G93King,

There is always a chance of pregnancy when birth control pills are not taken correctly. Done correctly they are 99.9% effective, but even then nothing is guaranteed.

You may have started bleeding again because of the abrupt cessation of your pills. There really is no way I can tell you if you are pregnant or not, sorry. Your best bet is to wait until the first day of a missed period and then take a home pregnancy test, prior to that results may be inaccurate. You may also see a doctor for a serum (blood) test to determine if you are pregnant or not.

Hope this helps.
