It's actually a week before I am going to take the 4 colored pills... & I was spotting for 2 days of this week & then after an unprotected sex, my spotting turned into heavy bleeding and so now i have my period. ( I decided to take birth control because of my regular heavy bleeding...) I was wondering if this is normal because my body is trying to get used to the pills/hormone levels? Or could I be pregnant? (It's been way pass 7 days when I started the pill so it should be safe? & also I haven't missed a pill since I started the pill).

yeah i remember seeing her and she said she recommends that I start changing brands after 3 months since I'm still not used to the pills xD

Since you have had heavy bleeding before, this does not sound unusual for you. I would not worry, but I would still call your doctor to let him/her know, so they can decide if you need to change pills, or give this pill another month or two. The more information your doctor has, the better they can help control your symptoms!

It is normal, during your first month-ever, to have breakthrough bleeding while using hormonal contraception. Actually, it is normal at other times, too, but especially during your first month....you have only been taking them for 3 weeks!
Yes, your pills should provide you with 99% protection against pregnancy if you have been taking them correctly and consistently every day. (You said you have not missed a pill...great!!!).
If your bleeding is still heavy, even while taking the active pills, be sure to call your doctor and let them know. There are many different types of pills and brands that you may need to try before finding the best fit.

Thank you so much!! Yeah I've been searching to see if anyone else had the same issue && it appeared that no one else really had heavy bleeding...rather just spotting so that's what made me freak out haha I really appreciate your response! Thank you again :)
