Q:

I have to go for a hysterectomy this year. Am I going to start going through menopause right away after the surgery? What should I expect. I am only 25 years old going on 26 this summer and this was pretty unexpected news for me.

hello Rosa, Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I was told it will be laparoscopic hysterectomy. See I know what to kinda expect with recovery time. I am not like your average woman. At 21 I had a Laparoscopic tubal ligation. Usually woman are back to their regular activities on Day 2 after surgery. and 2hours only of recovery in hospital. NOT ME. 9 hours of recovery and they only sent me home because the ward was closing. They had to re-stitch me twice before I left @ 9pm I was back in emergency @ 10pm via ambulance for bleeding. So honestly Im frightened, I just wanted to know if I was going to go through the final change as I call it.. immediately or not. Ty for all your help. I am just a bucket of nerves right now. thats all
