Hi Anon

Thank you for your question and welcome!

Unfortunately, a total hysterectomy can dampen a woman's libido - sometimes to a very great degree.

Estrace is good to take for vaginal dryness and discomfort - are you on any kind of hormone therapy, either synthetic or bio-identical? This could improve your libido. If you had your hysterectomy due to cancer, of course, this would not be prescribed to you.

I see that it has been nine years since your hysterectomy, are you still experiencing menopausal symptoms?

I'd like to link you to our Low Libido page that offers lots of articles/solutions and stories from women just like you: http://www.empowher.com/low-libido

I hope this will help you. Also, join our Menopause Group for lots of support! http://www.empowher.com/groups/menopause

Thank you for writing and please stay in touch!
