Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

A rise in blood pressure after surgery is not uncommon.

As far as the body is concerned, surgery is an assault on the body, causing the body's stress levels to rise. Pain after surgery, stress after surgery and even post-surgical medications can cause high blood pressure.
Ask your doctor how to maintain healthy levels. A healthy diet and exercise should help - the exercise will depend on your recovery, of course.
Best,
Susan
