i have low risk hpv. does this mean i also have it in my mouth and anus?

i have had 4 partners. i've done anal sex with just one and oral with all of them. is it possible i have hpv in my mouth and anus as well? is there a test the doctor can do to find out if i have it in my anus? because then i could narrow it down to who gave it to me if i do right? need help please..

Dear Anon,

Although it may seem as though having HPV in your genitals would mean that you also have it in your mouth and anus, this is not necessarily true. You could have your gynecologist test your mouth and anus for HPV and while it may help you narrow down how it happened, it also may not. 

A result that indicates: low-risk means that further testing is necessary because there is a possibility of HPV. Your gynecologist may want to confirm that you do have HPV before proceeding with other exams.
