Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! You must be frustrated with having irregular periods!

How old are you? How long has this been happening?

Having a period once every two weeks, or twice a month is abnormal and you should see your doctor because you may become anemic if you are having very frequent periods. They are sometimes a sign of infection or other medical problem that would need treatment.

Here is an article from the EmpowHER community that goes into greater detail about irregular periods. I hope you get a chance to check it out. https://www.empowher.com/menstrual-cycle/content/reasons-having-period-every-two-weeks

Anon, I would call your doctor and get in for a visit. There's probably a simple solution like taking an oral contraception to regulate your cycles.

Did this help?

Best,

Kristin
