Hi Anon,

If IVF is the last and only way for you to conceive, I think you must do it. While there is a possibility that you may not be able to conceive, the chances of getting pregnant is NOT IMPOSSIBLE with this process. If you are thinking about the cost, you might want to consider treatments from less expensive countries overseas like top In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Centers in Asia.

Good luck!

Hi Anon,

Thank you for visiting the EmpowHER community to get answers to your question about IVF. I am sorry to hear about you having a damaged fallopian tube. Had you been trying to conceive for a long time?

From the research that I did, it appears that it is unlikely that you can get pregnant unless your remaining tube is healthy and can deliver an egg.

I can understand why you are scared to try IVF and I agree that it is very expensive. If your dream is to have children, you could research surgeons and hope to find one that would allow you to make payments. If the procedure is out of the question financially, there are other options such as adoption and or fostering.

Here is an article from the EmpowHER community with a ton of information abut IVF. https://www.empowher.com/media/reference/vitro-fertilization-ivf-0

Anon, have you considered adopting or fostering a baby?

Best,

Kristin
