Q:

I have pins and needles all over my body, every part of my body, which I have felt for the last 4 days. I previously had this last year, and it lasted several weeks, before it just went away. I'm not sure what it could be?

Hi Anon,

Thanks for your question. Is the "pins and needles" sensation felt more in your hands and feet or do you feel it the same throughout your entire body? Are you on any medications? Is there any condition you've been diagnosed with that you would like us to know about?

Looking forward to your response.

I have no conditions, very healthy, eat well, only take the contraceptive pill currently. The sensation is the same all over my body, even feel it on my tongue quite consistently and gential areas occasionally, but the sensations feel more worse at certain times of the day, making me feel irritable, and make me feel very uncomfortable, as though I have these little ants/mites running inside my skin. I just ceased drinking coffee two days ago, to see if that is maybe the trigger, otherwise, I have just started a new job, which is very stressful. I did see a doctor last year about it, and the only thing he could find after the tests, was that I was slightly iron deficient. I have started to take the same iron tablets since the pins and needles started, but they have not ceased either.
