I have sleep apnea, I also have narcolepsy. Why would I being sent to a neurologist.

My pulmonary has sent me to a neurologist because of my narcolepsy, I am getting a mri and a ggb in February to see why.
Is this normal?

Thank you for writing.

Sleep (and sleep disorders) are neurological in nature and so a person will see a neurologist if there is a problem.
