I am 38 years old. I am over weight and I have had swelling in the past. This just feels different. I am not on any prescribed medication. I take ibuprofen and sometimes Aleve for pain and swelling. I do not have a primary care doctor. I've called the office to make an appointment. They are not taking new patients until July 3rd. Then if I call and the spaces don't fill up they will make me an appointment.

Hello Anonymous,
Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to us.
Without more information, such as age and gender, underlying medical conditions and any prescribed medication that you might be taking, I will not venture a guess.
The swelling or edema in your left foot that progresses ups your leg to lower abdominal area must be evaluated.
I do not think you need to go to the ER. But do call your primary care physician's office to report this, as soon as you read my reply.
Regards,
