I am ten week post op of a right ankle fusion. A week and a hAlf ago, per my doctor I started wht bearing slowly. I then start PT twice a week it' s been two weeks of OR now. Things went pretty smoothly
Exercises along with slowly walking. At home I was slowly walking with a cane.i have no boot, brace, nothing on the foot. Three days ago after walking my foot became quite swollen with just minimal discomfort. Very purplish in color. I elevate, ice and stay off the foot. I elevate on three pill is at night and wake to my foot looking beautiful, just like the other with no swelling. Though I noticed now when my foot is dependant it swells right up and starts to turn purple. Why is all this happening, what do i do??
