Hi I've recently have been having major painful heartburn & im assuming gas in my chest !! I am prescribed Prilosec by my doctor which usually takes care of the problem except this time I ran out and didn't take it for about two weeks. So I ended up getting extremely painful heartburn around 4 a.m. and tried a few home remedies that were unsuccessful. So I have a question about the baking soda heartburn remedy I read about. Do you suggest that remedy it says to put a few teaspoons in some hot water & to sip on it !!! Do you think that it's a safe home remedy for my heartburn /gas ? Also can I add some flavor to the water & baking soda mixture? Do u know what other quick relief home remedies that should work for this ?
Thank You

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Call your physician to have the Prilosec refiiled. In the meantime, if there is delay, purchase the over the counter product.

Regards,
Maryann
