I started my period 10 days early. I have not had sex in months and I am on birth control that is taken religiously. I have been stressed and anxious lately. Could this play a role in it? Please help.
Thank you,
E

Hi Lizzylu,
Thank you for your question. Although starting 10 days early is not considered normal, there may be nothing to worry about. Sometimes our periods tend to shift and as a 34 year old myself, this has happened many times to me. I would wait for your next couple cycles to see if the abnormality continues, then contact your physician. If this is the first time this has happened, it can certainly be due to the stress that your experiencing. Stress can cause many things to happen to our bodies.

I hope this helps. Please keep us posted.

Thank you for your reply! It turned out to be a normal period after all. So now onto the next question.....I ended my period on sat and had sex on sunday. I am on the pill and he pulled out. I dont usually ovulate until a week after my period. My question would be how high are the chances for pregnancy and should I be worried.
Sorry to be a pain. I just feel a little less stressed after I ask. Thank you
