I had sex the 12-14th and I'm just wondering if that's a likely time to get pregnant? I know everybody's different, but just generally. I woke up at like 1:30 this morning and felt very nauseous and have through out the day. Could I have morning sickness this early?

And I really don't think it's in my head, because I wasn't even thinking about being pregnant until this morning.

Hi, Chillintherain,

If you started your period on the 2nd and your cycle is a fairly normal 28 days, you probably ovulate somewhere between days 12-14. So yes, it's absolutely possible that you could get pregnant by having unprotected sex around that time.

But most women don't have any symptoms for at least a couple of weeks, due to the time it takes for the fertilized egg to travel down the fallopian tubes and implant itself. For many women, the first symptom they have is the missed period -- anything else like nausea, fatigue, tender breasts or frequent urination tends to come a little bit later.

Like you said, that's just in general. Everyone is different. Are you hoping to be pregnant?

It doesn't really matter if I do or not. Wasn't really trying, but wasn't really worrying about it if it happened. I just feel...different. I've been more tired than usual, also and have been getting headaches.

It's still pretty early to have any symptoms at all. But of course it's possible. Some women seem to just "know" they are pregnant, even long before a pregnancy test could confirm it. Maybe this is the case with you. Will you come back and let us know?

I will come back and let everybody know! Just a day or two more and I'll be back. Wish me luck. <3

Period came expectedly, no luck this time! Oh well!

Thanks for the update, chillintherain. And sorry it didn't happen this time! I know it can be hard to hope you're pregnant and find out you aren't. I have my fingers crossed for you. Take care.
