Q:

I think my urethra is in the wrong place, it's also really swollen?

Last night I noticed what i think is my urethra to be really swollen and red. I'm not sure if it is my urethra because it's basically right before my vaginal opening, almost inside. There's no other spot for my urethra to be though. It's really swelled and red, only a little bit of pain. My boyfriend was fingering me last night but we've done that many times before and it's never happened. So I guess my questions are, is that my urethra? It's almost in my vagina, when it looks normal there's a bunch of skin (or tissue maybe?) around it. And why is it this red and swollen? Could it have gotten torn from my boyfriend last night and will it heal okay?

I will certainly keep everyone updated. It already is less painful, I feel I may have been overreacting because it had never happened before. He was a little rough last night. The skin above it is torn a little but isn't painful. I think that's all excess skin that shouldn't be there, at least other people don't have it from what I've seen in pictures when I was trying to figure out what was wrong. Anyway, I'll update in a couple days.
Thank you very much!

Hi Brittany,

Thanks for your question. If you didn't notice it the day before, I would most certainly think it may be from your adventure with your boyfriend. Women are very sensitive in the vaginal area and most men think we are invisible. If there was any roughness during your encounter, he may have scratched you with his nails, was too rough etc. If you shave the pubic area, there also may be a razor bump.

If it does not go away on its own in a few days, I would certainly contact your physician to make sure there is no damage. You should also remind your boyfriend that it is a sensitive area also.

Could you keep us posted in a couple days?
