Hi Ramibdz,
Pills for menstrual pain such as Pamprin and Midol should not have any impact on the duration or amount of blood you produce. What pill did you take? What day were you on when you took it? Sometimes our body will decrease the natural blood flow and that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you. Most periods last between 3-5 days and can vary in heaviness.

i took feldene(piroxicam) and this is the second time its happening, my period normally lasts 5-6 days and flows to an extent that i change pad 3-4 times daily but after taking the piroxicam capsule, the flow reduced drastically and the days came down to three instead of 5-6. i took it the second time to make sure if its the reason why the flow reduces or not and it did reduced it

That's odd. Feldene is an NSAID-- which falls under the same category as if you took any of these common drugs:
Aspirin (Bufferin, Bayer, and Excedrin)
Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Nuprin)
Ketoprofen (Actron, Orudis)
Naproxen (Aleve)
I'm not quite sure why it is reducing your flow rate to 3 days but if it helps, even 3 days of a menstruation is normal so other than it being odd, you have nothing to worry about.
