Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your questions.

Though the instructions state taking one tablet of Postinor 2 as soon as possible, and the second tablet within the next 12 hours, the pill will still be effective if two tablets are taken at one time.

Postinor 2 prevents pregnancy by preventing ovulation. It is most effective if taken as soon as possible and must be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure.

Anonymous, if you took the pills within 72 hours and before you ovulated, it should work. You will know that you did not become pregnant once you have bleeding or your next period.

Regards,
Maryann
