Q:

I was 6 days late on my period, then I bled heavily with clotting for 2 days, could I be pregnant?

I had 2 days of light cramping in my lower pelvic area about a week before my period was due. I started having fatigue, nausea, bloating, and cravings. After being 2 days late, I took 2 home pregnancy tests from the dollar tree and they both came out negative. After 6 days late, I started bleeding on the 7th day. It was heavy with clotting. By the end of the 2nd day of bleeding it stopped. The 3rd day there was no bleeding. Now on the 4th day I am only lightly spotting when I wipe. I had my tubes tied about 14 years ago. I am 37 years old and my husband and I are sexuality active at least 4 times a week. Is there a possibility that I am pregnant?

Guide

Hello. Thank you for posting.

It sounds like you had your period, though a short one, which can occasionally happen.  If you had heavy bleeding for two days, this would indicate you are not pregnant.  For future, always buy a pregnancy test from a drug store, preferably a brand name, and test with first-morning urine.
