Hi Anonymous,
No, it is not okay for someone with pancreatitis to consume alcoholic beverages, even small amounts occasionally. I hope that your doctor has already warned you about drinking in the presence of having an inflamed pancreas.
Pancreatitis can be acute or chronic. Both types can cause bleeding and tissue death in or around the pancreas. Identifying the cause is the first step followed by eliminating the cause.
