Q:

I was diagnosed with vertigo 4 years ago. I have had no more attacks but was left with permanent dizziness. Is this normal for vertigo? Is there a treatment for this?

I have had only one attack of vertigo. ( high intense spinning) only treatment I had was prescribed medication for the vomiting. The vomiting stopped as did the spinning but I was left with dizziness and have no balance when I move my head. I have to hold on to something if I move my head while standing. I have been told...no cure live with it. But I never give up hope that something is out there that would help. Do you have or heard of anything that could help?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Unfortunately for some people, permanent dizziness from Vertigo is possible. But there are also treatments.
Besides that one treatment you had, what has been discussed by your doctor? If nothing, you will need to seek further help - read this article here (cut and paste) to know more, as there are more treatments that just one medication: https://www.empowher.com/vertigo/content/what-you-need-know-about-vertigo?page=0,0
