i was tested hpv positive with abnormal cells so my gyno told me come back in 6 months to see if it goes away on its own so i went back aand had a pap done and it was normal so if i have sex with a new partner will he still get anything even though it cam

yes i did recieve the hpv test and when i got my results it said it was normal now.

Pat has provided you with some excellent information via the PM (personal messaging) system, and I just wanted to re-iterate some of the information for other women as well.

There is a chance of spreading HPV to another partner, depending on the strain of HPV. Some strains of HPV are suppressed by one's immune system (as I mentioned above; your body suppressed a flu or cold virus, but there is some virus still left in your body. You are no longer contagious, however). You may also become infected with another strain of HPV from a partner who does not know that he has HPV, as there are no good screening tests for men.

This is an excellent question. It is possible for a woman to test HPV positive during one exam, and then for her body to "suppress" the virus (similar to how our bodies suppress cold and flu viruses). I believe you are no longer contagious, and are now a carrier of HPV (as are 80% of sexually active women).

Let me look into this further; if you were to have unprotected sex, if you are able to infect another person. I will reply with more information soon.
