Hi Casinoqueen147,

Thanks for your question. It is great that you are making plans to lose weight, weight loss can be a great benefit for many disease processes. Before you begin any exercise regimen, I would advise you to consult with your doctor and find out what type of exercise is OK for your condition. It is important to be cautious with any heart condition and exercise.

If your doctor has already made recommendations for you, let us know and we can help you find options that are safe and effective.

The only thing he has mentioned so far is walking, but that is on hold right now because I have a broken ankle, and its not completely healed yet. So thats why Im looking for other exercises, until I can start walking. Thanks Casinoqueen147

Hi Casinoqueen,

You may want to try gentle swimming until your ankle heals and you can begin walking. That is an exercise that is both gentle and non-weight bearing, both of which you need right now.

Hope that helps, let us know how things go.
