Conception occurs when you have unprotected sexual intercourse during ovulation. During ovulation, an ovary releases an egg. Generally, ovulation occurs about two weeks after your last your menstrual period.
After the egg is released, it moves into the fallopian tube. It stay there for about 24 hours, waiting for a single sperm to fertilize it.
