Hello babyhullett,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your question.

I am confused. Is your next period due July 4 or was it due June 4? You mention that your are 15 days late.

Have you had unprotected intercourse since your last period in May?

If so, once your period is late by at least seven days, test for pregnancy. That is the only way to know. For the most accurate result, test in the morning as soon as you wake up. That urine is concentrated from being in your bladder overnight.

If the abdominal pain persists or worsens, please contact your doctor.

Maryann

Yes my period was missed on may 31, my next period is scheduled for July 4, I did have unprotected sex during the month of may. I took a test on the 8th day I was late it said negative, should I test again or wait until the next period which would be July 4..

Hi babyhullett,

Thank you for more information.

Yes, you should test again. It is very possible that you are pregnant since you had unprotected sex during the month of May and have missed your period..

For the most accurate result, buy a name brand product and check the expiration date. Read and follow the directions carefully. Test in the morning when you first use the bathroom.

Then, contact your gynecologist regardless of the test results.
With a positive result, you need to start prenatal care. With a negative result, you need to find out why you have not gotten your period.

Regards,
Maryann
