Considering you are in your early 50s, perimenopause may the the reason you have not gotten your period for three months. Changes in the menstrual cycle are the first sign and are caused by fluctuation in estrogen levels.

If you are thinking you might be pregnant, you would have noticed your abdomen growing by now. Could always take a home pregnancy test.
