Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

Your orthopedic surgeon will determine if and when to discontinue your dose of Prednisone.

I am assuming you have been prescribed Prednisone because of severe damage to your knee from osteoarthritis or injury.

A total knee replacement is the surgery of choice for patients who have not gotten relief from nonsurgical interventions such as medication.

Regards,
Maryann
