I've had un-protective sex since july, before and after period, I started in july on the 26th . since july to aug i will be really sleepy and i will get dizzy at times , Aug came around the corner but my breast hurted a lot I had white stuff in my right boob, I had pains below my belly buttons I guess where all the ovary's and stuff are at, I'll take advil or Tylenol but wouldnt help the pain , Aug 26 I started bleeding light and spotting and I will have bad pains on my sides, it lasted for 5 days like that not usual for me and yes I did have un-protective sex in aug , after bleeding ended I still have lower back pains , I can't sleep on my back or lay on my stomach because I feel pressure my sides start hurting down where my ovary's are at also And I get sharp pains next to my belly button to the top, I've had nausea today and I will pee frequent all the beggining of Aug , I get pains to my knees , Im not sure if I can be pregnant while bleeding? never felt this way before? or what it is? I'm concerned or is it time for a pregnancy test already ..

Guide

Hello chuckygtn,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for coming to us with your concern about possible pregnancy and persistent abdominal pain.

Unprotected sexual intercourse carries the risk for becoming pregnant. If you have had a normal menstrual period in July and August, then you are not pregnant.

A bigger concern is the persistent abdominal pain, knee pain and lower back pain, as well as the need to urinate frequently. These are not typical symptoms or signs of early pregnancy.

Please schedule an appointment with your primary care physician, who knows your medical history and can do a physical exam with any necessary blood tests or imaging studies, like an ultrasound or MRI to determine the cause of your symptoms.

Regards,
Maryann
