My husband was my first sexual partner and had the virus before we met. I had a pap smear a week after we first started having sex and it came back negative. Not sure if that was too short a time frame, but I've also had the 3 Gardasil shots in my twenties.
My OBGYN told me today we had to stop having sex until my husband had the warts removed. He should also be treated for the virus with Gardasil and it was recommended we wait through that process. He's had the warts checked out and blood tested-his doctor said he didn't have the dangerous-to-me type of HPV so we thought we were fine.
My question is, can we continue to have sex since we already have for the first four months of pregnancy? I've been trying to look this answer up on the internet and haven't found solid advice giving a yea or a nay. Help, please!
