Inconsistent Lower Left Abdominal Pain

For the past two months I've been having inconsistent lower left abdominal pain. The pain is always in the same place, but is not consistent/constant. Localized to just the left abdomen (my back doesn't hurt). Usually hurts the most when I first stand and start walking. Feels like a really tight muscle that won't let me stand up straight. Pain goes away after I've taken a few steps. If I have exercised it hurts more after, but not during exercise. Wondering if it's a pulled muscle? Appendicitis? Ovarian cyst? I'm trying to get into see a doctor but they are booked until October.

Hi buggyg76,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  Many things can be causing this kind of pain on your left side. Appendicitis usually causes right lower pain, but sometimes left lower abdominal pain can also happen.  Some other things that can also cause pain can be Muscles, Endometriosis, ovarian cysts, intestinal obstruction and many other.  You should try to see a doctor sooner than October, you might need imaging test to know the cause of your symptoms.

Best,

Daisy
