Hi, I'm asking this on behalf of my sister. Shes always been pretty normal but she joined workout this April. We did cardio Zuma there and we followed clean eating. The problem is that her weight kept on imcreasing. Even now she's quit working out but she is spreading horizontally. Shes done calorie diets, clean eating and everything. Can this be a hormonal problem? Please recommend something as this is seriously getting her into depression

Hello AyenaRyz,
Welcome again to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to us for help but this is beyond our role and capability.
Your sister needs to schedule an appointment with her primary care physician. Her doctor knows her, such as age, height and weight, and medical history. The physician can examine her, listen and obtain an up to date history, including her recent exercise program and healthy eating, as well as order any necessary blood tests.
It is possible that she has developed a thyroid gland issue. The thyroid gland plays a key role in metabolism.
A person with an underactive thyroid tend to have a very low basal metabolic rate. One of the most noticeable symptoms of hypothyroidism is weight gain and difficulty losing extra weight.
