Incubation clarity with Influenza b

I was just diagnosed yesterday with influenza b. I am on Tamaflu. My daughter and her 2 month old baby will be visiting 10 days from now. Should I be concerned with them staying with me for a few days?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing and I'm sorry you've been struck down the the flu - it's awful.

Generally, with Flu B, you will be contagious a day or two before you have symptoms and for up to a week after. Tamiflu may shorten this time. You should be out of the contagious period after ten days later but let your daughter know beforehand so she can decide for herself, especially with so young a child.
I hope you feel better soon.
Best,
Susan
