My top, inner vagina, right on the inside of the opening is swollen. I think it may be from masterbating, but it now hurts to get fingered. I swelled up a lot at first and was very sore, it felt like if my boyfriend even put one finger in it was too much and like I was tearing. The swellings gone down but sexual activity is still impossible. I'm not sure what this is, maybe a urinary tract infection because its right on the other side of my urethra, but its doesn't burn to pee. I haven't had sex before so i'd prefer not to go to a gynaecologist, thanks.

Hi voyager,
If it was a tear it might heal on it's own, but if it's an infection it won't. You need to see a doctor if the pain or symptoms continue.

Welcome to EmpowHER. Symptoms of a UTI(urinary tract infection) are burning or irritation when urinating, and a strong odor. If you are having pain, it can be due to a tear inside the vaginal wall. You need to see a doctor or OBGYN. Seeing an OBGYN does not matter if you have had intercourse before or not. Hope this was helpful?
