i have a problem with what i think is constipation. i only go to the bathroom once every week or 2 weeks. i eat healthy foods regularly and drink plenty of water. i dont understand why or what this means. occasionally when i go it is really small in size but for the most part its excessively large in both width and length. i feel like there might be somthing else wrong for not being able to go up to once every 2 weeks.

  • Certain medications, including pain medications, diuretics and those used to treat Parkinson's disease, high blood pressure and depression
  • Hormonal disturbances, such as an underactive thyroid gland
  • Anal fissures and hemorrhoids, which can produce a spasm of the anal sphincter muscle
  • Loss of body salts through vomiting or diarrhea
