Is it normal for discharge to be a light yellow/clear color?

When i wipe, i notice that it feels kind of slimy, and it has one little dot of light yellow in the fluid. Is that ok? I'm not having sex.

Thanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER.
I believe the rule of thumb with vaginal discharge is if ou experience itching, burning, cramping, and a foul smelling discharge, then it may indicate a bacterial infection and you should see your doctor.
Monthly, your uterus lining (mucous) builds up, getting thicker in anticipation of a fertilized egg to implant and grow. At times throughout your cycle, the normal excess mucous may discharge as you may be experiencing. When no egg implants, the lining decomposes and is shed, evacuating through your cervix and vagina.
