Q:

Is it normal to have hot flashes, alternating with freezing?

When I had insurance, my dr. told me I was going through menopause. Recently, if I am not sweating, I am freezing to the point of pulling the covers over my head. Is this normal?

Hi Anon,

How long ago did your doctor tell you that you were going through menopause?

Usually menopause symptoms involve hot flashes and although I have heard of cases where they also have freezing periods, you should go back to your doctor and explain your new symptom. Even though ti could be related to menopause, it's important taht your doctor rule's out any other possibility.

Best Wishes,

Rosa
