is it normal to have irregular periods?

i have my periods every after 3 months, been like that for two years now. i thought it would eventually get normal to every month, but seems like it keeps going. am now getting a little worried and wondering if its normal:(

A normal cycle is monthly, generally between 21 and 35 days with the average being 28 days.

Having a period four times a year is not normal and may interfere with your ability to get pregnant if that time comes. I would advise you to talk to your doctor about your irregularity and discuss you options.
