is it normal to have a longer period when i didn't start my period for 3 months then started normal and now its too long?

hello, i missed my period for 3 months and then started normally the next month and now i started again my monthly cycle and now it doesn't go away..i've been on my period for 2 weeks now and my regular period last from 3-4 days. the blood color is a bright red and sometimes blood clots come out...i'm wondering is it normal? oh and its not coming out alot but it does come out when i wipe but thats all. is this normal or should i see a doctor?

Hi Tiff,

Thank you for your question. Periods are so abnormal sometimes that this would be a tough question to answer without checking with your doctor. This could be completely normal due to the fact that you missed periods for a couple months. Was there a chance that you may have been pregnant and this could be a miscarriage? Since there are so many questions regarding this situation, getting a checkup from your physician may be necessary to be certain there are no underlying issues going on.
