My LMP was Dec 9th and on Dec 12th (saturday)I had unprotected sex and took plan B. I took one pill that evening and I took the second pill late, i took it 15 hours later insetead of 12. In fear that the pill did not work I took another dose on Monday. I started to bleed exactly one week after taking the first pill on saturday Dec 19th, I've read that the bleeding could be "withdrawl" bleeding. Is it possible to ovulate again after having the withdrawl period?
My period is now late. I took 3 pregnancy tests this week and they all come back negative. Could it be that I will NOT get my period this month because I took 2 plan b pills in 3 days. I will also mention that I've been stressed out since having unprotected sex but I don't think i can relax until i get my period. Pleae help!!

Hello Anonymous,

No withdrawal bleeding this month could be related to missing two birth control pills and taking Plan B. Talk with your gynecologist about this before starting a new pack.

Hello, i started my last period on December 13th. On December 20th i had sex but the condom ripped halfway through and we caught it so we put on a new one. To be safe, i took plan B within 4 hours after the incident. On December 25th i recieved light bleeding for 3 days (i was not expecting any bleeding for 2 weeks) . It is now January 16th and i was expecting my period on the 10th. I feel that i am not pregnant because i was not ovulating, he did not ejaculate, and i took plan b within four hours. However, i am stressing. What do you think?

My LMP was November 13. I have never been regular. I had unprotected sex with the withdrawal method on December 20, 27th, January 3rd & 10th. Took Plan B on the 20th & 27th. As of today, i have no had a period since November. I took two pregnancy tests on January 11th & 12th, which both came back positive. On the 13th, a test came back negative. What donyou suggest?! I have had some spotting.

I’m on birth control and on my last week before my sugar
pills I had unprotected sex, went to take my pill for the day and
realized i forgot to take my pill for the day before. So that day I
went to get plan B. The next day I took my last birth control pill
before my period should start on the sunday but normally i would get
my period Tuesday into Wednesday. It is now Wednesday night still
haven’t gotten my period. I did everything right…… could I be present
or just a late period do to the plan b pill and i’m also got a cold

I am in the same exact position , missed my pill Friday then doubled up on Saturday & also took Plan B to be safe . I usually start on Wednesday but still haven't started yet , I only have the sypmotoms of my period . did you ever start ? Before I bought the Plan B I explained the situation to the pharmacist and she said I shouldn't worry about taking it that I should be fine since I was on my last 2 days but I took it anyways to be on the safe side .

Hello Anonymous,

Plan B contains contains 1.5 milligrams of levonorgestrel, which is used in lower doses in many birth control pills. Depending on what synthetic hormone is in the birth control pills that you take, you could have over dosed and upset the hormonal balance that regulates your menstrual cycle.

This may be why your period is late to start. Contact your gynecologist and report this. It can affect when you should start a new pack.

but with all the steps I did right I could I become pregnet or did I catch it time with the plan b.This was all in 24hrs , i thought i was doing the right thing. I use tri cyclen lo, even with over dosing by accident...screwing up my cycle is better than becoming pregnet. I'm going to see my dr. next week because I think i need my pills to be strengthened. Also having a cold would make this worse too

So I had unprotected sex on the 8th and 10th of December and took plan B almost right after the second time. He didn't ejaculate in me so I wasn't nervous, but I was supposed to have my period on December 27th and I'm now 9 days late. I had my wisdom teeth out and have blood since I had sex. Both would have notified me if I were pregnant. I'm going to take a pregnacy test just incase to make sure but I'm pretty sure I'm not. My only worry is that my period is 9 days late and I have no signs of getting my period. Is this normal after taking plan b??

Hello Anonymous,

Yes, some women do start their next periods earlier or later than normal after taking Plan B. It is recommended that you test for pregnancy if you have not had vaginal bleeding within three weeks of taking it.
