My LMP was Dec 9th and on Dec 12th (saturday)I had unprotected sex and took plan B. I took one pill that evening and I took the second pill late, i took it 15 hours later insetead of 12. In fear that the pill did not work I took another dose on Monday. I started to bleed exactly one week after taking the first pill on saturday Dec 19th, I've read that the bleeding could be "withdrawl" bleeding. Is it possible to ovulate again after having the withdrawl period?
My period is now late. I took 3 pregnancy tests this week and they all come back negative. Could it be that I will NOT get my period this month because I took 2 plan b pills in 3 days. I will also mention that I've been stressed out since having unprotected sex but I don't think i can relax until i get my period. Pleae help!!

I had unprotected sex on October 30th and took plan B within 12 hours of it, I had some random bleeding for a couple days about 5-6 days after. It is now November 18th and I was supposed to get my period 2 weeks ago and haven't. Was the on and off bleeding I had after taking plan B my period? Or should I be worried that I'm pregnant?

I had unprotected sex on October 6 and took Plan B the morning after. I had sex again on October 12. I also started taking my birth control on October 9. My period is four days later and I am freaking out that I may be pregnant! Should I be worried? Or is it the pills that have affected the cycle?

Hello Anonymous,

Both the emergency contraceptives and oral contraceptives contain synthetic hormones and prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation.

It is not surprising, considering your usage during the month of October, that your period is late. I think hormonal imbalance not pregnancy is the reason for the delay.

I had protected sex in September, but the condom slipped out when pulling out, in fear of being pregnant, I took the plan b pill two hours later and I got my period when I was supposed to in October, it is now November 13 and I had, again, protected sex last week, and my period is late, is it because of the pill?

Hello Anonymous,

The best thing to do is take a home pregnancy test. An early response test can be used as early as five days before your period is expected to start.

Had the same thing happen to me. Went to the doctor and also got a test and came out negative. I felt nausea and everything. He told me that my stress hormone's where high so my period was going to be late. I missed an entire month and after i got my period i was in so much pain for 1-2 days! Good luck and try to keep calm!

Hello Anonymous,

Try to relax. Two factors can be contributing to your late period: taking Plan B, which works by preventing ovulation, and high stress.

In September 8 I had sex with my boyfriend then the next day I took plan b. In two weeks I had my 5 days period it was pretty heavy period in my life, maybe because of the pill. October pass my period didn't come. And now is November I'm still waiting for my period since I didn't get my last period yet. Is this mean I'm pregnant?

In my experience , i have took plan b in within 4 hours of the incident. and i did get my period... within the month of the incident.. now I'm just waiting for my 2nd period which is NOVEMBER... and im stressing like crazy... right now... however i had done research =) plan b will delay!!! ur period and stressing through out the month could cause you to skip the WHOLE month . So try to relax and keep ur mind off of it.. Vitamin C will help you get period! this also happened to my friend , she actually missed the whole month then the next month she got it. every woman's body is different and if anything take a couple of tests and u can buy them at the dollar store then head out to awl mart to buy an official one. its best if u take the test in the morning when u pee cuz thats when u have the most hormones , test every week =) . You will be fine!
