Is it normal to spot 10days before your period?

I started spotting yesterday evening and im still spotting Light pink. Could my period just be coming early? I dont start till the 12th and my periods never done this before

Thank you for posting.

Spotting is any light vaginal bleeding which occurs at any time other than when a period is due. Spotting between periods is reasonably common. There can be a few reasons why it happens but the most common are hormonal changes or some lifestyle change that has impacted your cycle. It can also be an implantation bleed (if there is a chance you might be pregnant). Otherwise, this can occasionally happen.
