And they are always sore and red and has been this way for years and im 22 years old

Long nipples are not necessarily a problem, however it is not normal for them to be sore and red.  You did not mention if you were breast feeding but if you are, redness and soreness are actually common while breastfeeding.

If you are not breastfeeding then you need to see a doctor about the possible causes for the redness and soreness.  It can be a sign of serious conditions such as infections, and cancer.  Since your symptoms have been going on for some years now, your condition could be serious and I suggest that you get an examination right away.
