Does a condom highly prevent pregnancy if it is used properly and there is no birth control pill taken?

Is there a way to get birth control without anyone knowing and without having to give any information whatsoever to a health professional?

Hi Anonymous,
Condoms, if used correctly and if they work properly can deter pregnancy BUT I would always use birth control also. Condoms can break, have tears in them and certainly should ALWAYS be used to reduce the spread of sexually transmitted diseases also but to be safe from pregnancy, I would certainly use both condoms and second birth control method such as the pill.

I hope this helps.
