Hi Cheersarp

According to Epocrates:

1. Lamictal <-> Ortho Evra

consider incr. lamotrigine maint. dose 2-fold, initial dose escalation unchanged; no change if also on carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone or rifampin: combo w/ estrogen may decr. lamotrigine levels by 50%, lamotrigine levels may incr. 2-fold during periods of no estrogen (clearance increased) (https://online.epocrates.com/noFrame)

This means the patch may change the amount of Lamictal in your blood. Did you get both of these drugs from the same pharmacy? Did the pharmacist say anything? I would discuss this with both your pharmacist and your prescribing provider to be sure you don't need any dosage adjustments or anything.

Also, good job on reading that information. If you knew how many people don't even look at it, you would fall over. Always read your drug information thoroughly! Thank you so much for writing, and if you would let us know the outcome that would be very helpful to others.
