I've been having really bad pain in the middle bottom area of my stomach. I have this pain For about a week before my period . Any idea what this might be? I'm starting to get worried

Having pain in your stomach so close to your period is typically a sign of cramps which is a common symptom of your period for many women. 

Do you usually have stomach pains like this every time before your period? Also, do you take any form of birth control? Sometimes certain types of birth control can cause stomach pains close to your period. 

However, if your pains are this bad, I highly recommend setting up an appointment with your doctor. Even if they are just cramps, it’s best to check what is really going on. Your doctor will probably be able to give you a medication and tips to reduce the pain.
