If your period is heavy and you've been having it for more than 10 days it's best to see a doctor right away or go to the ER right away.

Dear Anonymous,
Did you miss your last period? Is your bleeding still heavy? Periods normally last anywhere from 3-7 days but can last a little longer if you missed your previous period. If there is no sign that your period will be going away soon, please contact your doctor as bleeding for a long time can result in hemorrhaging.

I didnt miss my last period. But the first couple days of this week were very light. Should i go to the ER

Hi Anon,
If you are bleeding heavily then at the very least you should give your doctor a call. If you can't reach him/her due to it being the holidays then don't take your chances and go to the ER.
