Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for seeking our help with your concern about a new pattern of late periods.

If you have been having unprotected intercourse since your last period which started on January 19, it is time to take a home pregnancy test. For the most accurate result, test in the morning and use the first urine of the day.

Depending on your age, this could be the first sign of perimenopause, which generally affects women in their 50s, but some as early as their late 40s.

Keep in touch,
Maryann
