Iam in my 7th week of pregnancy. I have IBS and took 2 doses of librax- 5mg in my 6th week. Is this harmful for the fetus? I read that Librax as such is harmful but does 2 doses cause any harm? Iam really worried about this. Please let me know.

I have taken Librax for more than 5 weeks without realising i was pregnant. I am a happy mom with two wonderfurl twins! 2 doses of librax will not cause any issues. Dont bother about it and enjoy your pregnancy!

I know your messages were posted several months ago, but I too just found out I'm pregnant (5 weeks) and have been taking Librax.
I'm SO scared I may have already caused harm to the baby. So you said you took Librax for longer than 5 weeks and gave birth to healthy babies?

Hi Anonymous,

Congratulations!

Librax should not be taken during pregnancy. Please inform your doctor to see if there is an alternate medication that you can take during pregnancy. Take your prenantal vitamins, follow a healthy diet, and always go to your appointments.

Wishing you a healthy pregnancy,

Rosa
