Q:

Lower abdominal bloat?!

Hi... I need some help diagnosing my lower stomach. I don't know if this is relevant but I last had sex in March this year and it was unprotected. I've had five periods since then and waiting on my sixth. I've noticed my lower stomach bloat out from under my belly button at different times since March. As I breath in and out the lower stomach still seems to be slightly sticking out? I don't know if I'm just bloated there or if pregnancy is possible but I worry about things like this all the time so I just need some reassurance please! Please respond ASAP! Thank you.

You might have a fibroid. They are very common for women around 40 or so. I don't know how old you are but if you are around that age, you might want to get that checked out. They are benign but can cause problems.

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Having regular periods is the first sign that you are not pregnant. It is a myth that women can have periods while pregnant. The vaginal bleeding that happens, is only spotting that lasts 1 or 2 days. So you are not pregnant.
Bloating is uncomfortable, painful and usually associated with constipation, your menstrual cycle, or gas. If you do not have any of those symptoms but your stomach is simply slightly larger, then it is probably not bloating, just a full stomach.
