No, vaseline also breaks-down the material in condoms, and petroleum is an active-ingredient that is not to be used internally.

Are you able to go to the store, or go online, and purchase some personal lubrication? There are specific products that are safe for internal use, and these are very accessible to most people at the grocery store, drug store, some online reputable websites (I can provide one for you). It is embarrassing to buy condoms and lubrication, but necessary if you are choosing to have sex!

Agreed--- lotion should not be used as a personal lubricant, as it can also wear down the material of condoms, diaphragms and other types of barrier birth controls...causing them to be ineffective.

You can use the lubrication, as recommended by BellaVonD above, that is found near the condoms at any store. Another good one is Astroglide.

id have to say its not a good idea. using lotions meant for your face and body down below can sometimes cause more problems than we may think. lotions like this may claim to be good to skin, but down below can cause problems like imbalance in PH, thrush and bacterial vaginosis. its best to use a proper lubricant meant for the genital areas if you are thinking of using one. i reccommend pasante or durex. :)
